Missing My "Garbage Disposal" - MDS Pages

Actually, it's a dog that I fed our scraps to ! She is one of the abandoned dogs (there were several as well as at least a dozen cats) neighbors left behind in early September when they moved away. She had found her way to our house, I fed her and gave her attention, worked with her a bit to start teaching her manners. There were lots of reasons why I decided not to keep her, and it broke my heart to send her away. I knew in my gut it would probably be best to not have another dog, but of course my heart told me otherwise.
She went to live in the country where there are grand kids and another dog to play with, chickens and goats to put her Aussie herding skills to use if they wanted, fields to explore and a pond to go swim in during the summer. It did make me nervous leaving her there though because they lived just off of a busy 55 mph highway...........

A week has gone by since mom and I drove her out to their home, but not a day goes by without my thinking about her and worrying about her adjusting to the new life. Yesterday I received a note from the gal whose family members took her, telling me that she is doing well. That's a relief !

Anyway, here are a few photos I snapped of her. I used My Digital Studio (original version) from Stampin' Up! to make these pages. I bought the Wonderfall digital kit add on for half off this week, specifically for the leaf punches. I used papers from the kit on both pages as well as frames from Downtown Grunge, Tasteful Trim punch, Smitten Alphabet punch, Noteworthy alphabet stamps, Torn Edges hand torn stamp and Taffeta Trimmings ribbon. I am so anxious for MDS2+ to come out on disc, this page could use some tweaking using new features in that program.

  1. She is adorable and I can see why you miss her. You have more strength and willpower than I do - I would have had to keep her!

  2. Wonderful pages and glad to see you are using your new goodies!! I am so impressed by your caring heart, especially in letting her go. Hugs to you, my blogging friend!!
