SeaDooin' Scrapbook Page

Spiral edge (?) punch, Stampin' Up!

This photo was taken at crest during the record setting flood of 2008. What is normally a field in front of our house became a 6+ foot deep lake that we went SeaDooin' in ! In 2013 we experienced an even deeper flood. We did not SeaDoo in the "lake" that time since the water was too deep, we couldn't get the watercraft out of the barn that was surrounded by water. If we had managed to get them out , we would not have been able to launch them because the water was much closer to the house that time, not leaving enough dry land to maneuver the truck and trailer.  Luckily this past year the spring flooding crested at not quite a foot of water in the field. We were quite worried it would be another record setter though as many towns along the rivers to the north of us saw damage from historic floods.

I submitted this photo to our local newspaper to be considered as Photo Of The Week; it was not chosen.
