Paper Punch Groundhog

A little paper punch groundhog (details below)
I made to sit out in the yard
this morning for a photo op :)
The shadow was seen, so six more weeks of winter here !
Notice the dusting of snow on the ground ?
That is all we ended up where we live
after predictions of up to 4" earlier in the week.
We were barely hit with edge of
winter storm Linus.

Yet walking over to the flower garden,
I see daffodils emerging already !
It has been mild here the past two weeks or so,
the plants must think it is spring.

We are experiencing much colder temperatures -
a high of 26 F today, but at least it is sunny !

Paper Punch groundhog supplies:
empty toilet tissue tube, trimmed to size and painted
green card stock to wrap around tube, fringed
large heart paper punch, cut two for head and body
(You could use an oval for the body)
tiny heart punch for teeth and nose (humps trimmed off for nose)
circle punches for eyes and ears
ink pen to add details
ink and a sponge to add ink around edges of face
dimensional glue dot to adhere head to body

Thanks for looking =)

  1. That is hysterical! Couldn't you have made a fake cloud to block his sun too!!! LOVE IT
