Sweet Gingerbread Christmas Card

Isn't this a sweet Christmas card and sentiment?
I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out, too,
even though I got a bit carried away sanding the paper ;)

I used a Candy Cane embossing folder (cuttlebug)
on white core red card stock then sanded it.
I would have liked to back it with a fine scalloped edge
white rectangle before adhering it to the brown sugar card base,
but I don't have any dies or punches to accomplish the look I envisioned.

The rubber stamp images are oldies from Stampin' Up!
Gingerbread House is 18 years old, the sentiment set is even older
(I don't recall the name, sorry).

The edges of the sentiment panel has caramel ink lightly sponged on it.
It is backed with a piece of textured espresso card stock punched
with a  scallop edge border punch.

I heat embossed white onto Baked Brown Sugar card stock
for the gingerbread boy. A tiny bit of water color accents.

The peppermint was simply stamped with black ink
onto white card stock then colored with a marker.
It is attached with a dimensional/ pop dot.

A paper punched button and twine finish it off.

Thanks for looking
and
Happy Holidays =)

I'm entering my card in the Anything Goes Challenge #76 at
(gosh, all of my recent Christmas cards would qualify
for this challenge as all of my stamps are well over a year old!)

  4. You are on a mission with your Christmas cards! This is another fun card. Once again the stamp image is way before my time, but SU repeats many of their images with a slight different flair. Thanks for sharing with RRCB again!!
