Florals and Gingham Mother's Day Card

I like how this simple card turned out
using a simple go-to layout!
That gorgeous embossing folder really makes a card look special.

Rubber stamp image - Stampin' Up! All Year Cheer (1999)
White and navy blue card stocks
Night of Navy ink
Scalloped rectangle die
We R Mempory Keepers embossing folder, Bouquet
stylus and scoring board - for embossed edge around sentiment
Gingham ribbon-unknown, really old "crispy" type of craft ribbon
pop dots

I'm entering my card in the Mother's Day Challenge #352 at
Shopping Our Stash
and
Old Is New Again #85 at
Retro Rubber Challenge
(although not exactly vintage as the challenge perhaps intended,
flowers and gingham are always a classic combo.
I did use a nearly 20 yr old stamp and 30 yr old ribbon!)

Thanks for looking =)

  2. There is something about Gingham paper or fabric that is so old fashioned and so reminiscent of yesteryear.
Love this beautiful card with the pretty font on the sentiment and that fabulous blue Gingham ribbon, the embossing folder is amazing and gives this panel a wonderful and fabulous texture.
Thank you for sharing with us at RETRO RUBBER, hope you play again next time.
    Hugs.

  3. Blue and white always look so crisp together. You're so right about the embossing folder - it's a technique that adds so much to a card. Your ingredients are truly vintage - their collective ages make your card about as old as me! :-). Thank you for joining us again at Retro Rubber Challenge.
