Cross Stitch Ornaments

Earlier this year we went to a church fundraiser yard sale.
I bought a grab bag of various crafty items,
most of which I could not use so I donated them.
However, there were some things I could work with.
These little cross stitch pieces were unfinished,
part of a mini treat bag kit.
I decided to turn them into ornaments instead of
finishing off the mini treat bags.

I cut some quick stik mounting board to fit the images.

I ran heavy duty double stick tape around the edges of the back,
pulling the fabric around and adhering in place.
I added little dabs of hot glue to the corners to hold them well.

A little trim was hot glued in place, gold cord hangers
then white chipboard cut to fit and glued over it all
to finish it off.

I'm entering my project in the current
Animals challenge at Use Your Stuff
since there is a bear on one:)

Thanks for looking.

  1. Hello Craftysahmiam: Thank you for your sweet and enthusiastic comment on my post with the Recycled Wood Stamping Blocks, I hope you can create all of the things you mentioned and more.
And, as a cross stitcher myself, I also totally love your projects today. Cross Stitching is a labor or love and patience but at the same time, totally relaxing once you are in the "ZONE".
Thank you for your visit to my blog, hope you come by often, I'll come and visit you too.
    Sending hugs.
    Maria.
