Camaro Card

Hubby asked me to make a retirement card.
No problem. I was going to use my trusty Classic Convertibles
or Classic Pickups stamp set and the
They are having a challenge in conjunction with

He informed me the man has a 68 Camaro
and asked if I have a stamp of that type of car.
I have that cool new to me old Mustang stamp
and the old Chevys in that convertibles stamp set.
No Camaro.

A search online came up with a few options,
the best of which needed to be purchased  - for $99!
I then came across this little graphic,
but I have no idea where it originated. I kept being sent back
to weird websites and pinterest when trying to locate the original.
So unfortunately I can not credit the original artist for the graphic.

I had hoped Stampin' Up! would make a series of realistic classic car
rubber stamp images like the Classic Convertibles and Pickups sets.
 No such luck.

Anyway, moving on to the details of the card.

Stampin' Up! retired stamp sets used:
Happy Retirement, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (2009)
screw head, Nailed It stamp set (2017)

Darice Diamond Plate embossing folder

silver embossing powder

Memento black ink

Versamark ink

red Prismacolor colored pencil

glitter pens, Office Depot

hand cut banners

silver card stock, unknown

red, white, blue, black card stocks - Stampin' Up!

Silver glitter marker for the chrome
and touches of red over the colored pencil for shiny paint.

Doh! I forgot to add Crystal Effects to the headlights !
I maybe should have added screw heads to the corners
of the Camaro panel, too. It looks too bare to me now.

Silver heat embossed screw heads on the banners

18th Bday Digi Card

A simple printable card I created for a young mans 18th birthday.

To create the 18 shape,
I chose a large font, made it white, added a small stroke and drop shadow.

Lyrics were typed on a separate layer then attached to the 18.
This did take some tweaking to try to space the words
in a way to be a bit easier to read.

Thanks for looking, have a great day!

Not the best photo taken on a cloudy day,
zoomed way in on the camera through 100+ year old wavy
glass windows: a huge woodpecker hard at work
looking for lunch in the old maple tree.

The sentiments are digital images and text, printed.

I'm leaving it blank for now since it can be used for
several occasions, when needed.

Lindsey Ladybug Spool Doll

This little lady(bug) was created with a
pattern and a wood kit that I bought years ago.
I had forgotten about these kits I bought,
so I've been working on them and will
be sharing the other spool doll critters eventually.

I added my own fabric scraps, buttons, paint, etc.
to the wood kit components.

I improvised on a couple of things:
I cut felt leaves since the pattern called for
Rag Mop Ringlets hair (not to be found anywhere)
and black beads for the antennae since I had no pom poms.
As a result of using the smaller beads, I shortened the antennae
so they don't look nearly as cute as the pattern shows (below).

The wood parts used to create the body
(not including the bead head):

Even on the coldest winter days with snow on the ground,
"ladybugs" will come out of the woodwork around the windows
of this old house on sunny days:

Hyla cat will find sunny spots to lay in,
no matter where they may be.
My work table has a perfect view of the birds outside.
After the winter we've had with just 9 sunny days so far
(according to a recent news report and I believe it, it's been awful),
I won't run her off even though she gets in my way as I'm crafting.

I'm entering my ladybug in the following challenges:

a look at the inside
(currently blank)

Nearly everything used came from Stampin" Up!
and are all well over a year old ;)

Most of the stamps are nearly 20 years old!
(time sure does fly...... doesn't seem that long ago that I bought them)
 Stipple Butterfly (2001)
French Script (2001)
Leafy Glade (2000)
Triple Line Plaid wheel (1998)
Pappilion Potpourri (2012?)

Midnight Muse, Marina Mist, white and textured black card stocks

Midnight Muse, Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Memento Black inks

White gel pen

Doily and circles dies

Stripes embossing folder

Linen thread

I meant to add thin black wire for antennae!
Maybe just draw on a couple thin black lines
before I send it out.

Thanks for looking, have a great day =)

Fun Foam Hearts Valentine Cards

Layer three die cut fun foam heart shapes
then wrap with baker's twine; tie in a bow.

Glue to the top of a texture embossed background
then a card base for a quick valentine card !
(I should've added a pink layer between the red and white card stocks)

Another simple Valentine card using fun foam heart shapes:
stamp them with little words
then glue them onto a card.
Reminiscent of candy conversation hearts !
(I think dry embossing simple lines around the edges
would have added a little something extra to this card,
made it better)

The last quick valentine card I whipped up
using some old fun foam heart shapes from my kid's old craft stash:
die cut a couple layers of decorative paper and card stock
then glue on fun foam hearts!
(a small little paper punched label across the large center heart,
or a die cut X and O may have improved this card;
I was going for really quick and simple cards with these)

Thanks for looking, Happy Valentine's Day !
