$2 Tuesday Digi Kits

Here are the two kits by Connie Prince that are just $2 today!

The kits are on sale for just $2 each, today only.

This sale will end promptly at 11:59pm (Eastern Time) on Tuesday night.

These are my final two layouts created as a member
of the Guest Creative Team for October
This was my first time working with Connie's
wonderful team and her digital scrapbook kits.
I was excited to be asked to apply for one of
next years design team spots, woohoo!

I also used Connie's Blends Volume 1 template for the above layout.
It made that faded image of the roses easy.

Another Sympathy Card For A Dog

Another one of my long time email "pen pals"
lost one of her fur babies recently.
I've had to make too many sympathy cards
this year, for both people and pets :(

Cuttlebug embossing folder
metal edge tag
paper punches to create the paw print
polka dot grosgrain ribbon
white, textured black and red card stocks

Thanks for looking

18th Birthday Balloons Card

There are 18 paper punched balloons on this card
(not as many hand drawn strings, though!)
for an 18th birthday.

The rubber stamp image is from Stampin' Up!

The paper punch is unknown. It is an oldie
I think I found at a dollar store and has no markings.

Twine from Target, papers from an old Die Cuts With A View
paper stack, hand cut banner.

Thanks for looking =)

Things Change Digi Kit

Connie Prince has a gorgeous new kit releasing today,
Things Change!

I used one of Connie's fun Overlay Play templates for this layout.

Travelogue South Dakota Digi Kit

The newest Travelogue collection by Connie Prince is
South Dakota!

I've not been there personally, yet, but this kit
can be used to scrap other things.
There are some neat motorcycle images in it.

It can also be combined with any of her
other Travelogue kits, the colors all coordinate :)

I used the Rt 66 sign from the Travelogue Oklahoma kit
on this page, but everything else is in the South Dakota kit.

Farmhouse Roses Birthday Card

This card came together fairly quickly using one of my favorite stamp sets,

Roses In Winter. I also added a few speckles from Itty Bitty backgrounds.

I stamped the background then ran it through a woodgrain embossing folder.

I lightly rubbed Sahara Sand ink pad across some of raised areas.

I lightly water colored the grooves between the planks

(after I took the photos).

I glued a die cut Happy Birthday to the top, mounted it all to a card base,

added a matching stamped inside piece and done!

Thanks for looking , have a good day =)

Chalk Painted Jar of Flowers Card

I was trying to create the look of a chalk painted
mason jar "flower vase" for this special card
for a very special someone.

It was an experiment that didn't turn out half bad!

I heat embossed a jar image onto chipboard.
I chose to use chipboard since I was going to
be painting it. It was tricky to cut out with scissors!

I heat embossed "happy birthday" in two
portions to stack the words on top of each other.
I wanted it to resemble to logos on masons.

I brushed on chalk paint, lightly rubbing
it from the embossing. I was trying to make it
look like the chalk painted mason jars that were so popular.

Numerous flowers were stamped, water colored and hand cut
with scissors. They all have dimensionals behind them.
I tucked in some small die cut greenery and leaves.

Twine is wrapped around the mouth of the jar.
It is held in place on back with tape and
a bit of clear drying glue around the knot.

It's all mounted over a background that has had
Distress Oxide ink sponged onto it.
Brighter than I intended, but it was the only
blue I have in that type of ink.

There is a lot of dimension on this card!
It will be hand delivered,
but would require extra postage if it was mailed.

All Wrapped Up and Express Yourself  stamp sets,
 Stampin' Up!

Classic inks from Stampin' Up!
Crushed Curry, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip

Card stocks from Stampin' Up!
Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand

Broken China Oxide ink

Black embossing powder,

Oyster chalk paint

Stitched rectangle die

Greenery dies from Stampin' Up!,
but I don't recall which set I used

Thanks for looking, have a good day =)

CAS 50th Birthday Card

It's World Cardmaking Day !

I plan on experimenting with an idea I have
for a special card I want to make.
If all goes well, I'll post it next weekend ;)

In the meantime, I'm sharing
this pretty simple card I made recently.
I wasn't thrilled with it (it needed more!),
but I was in a hurry to get a "flat" card done
and out in the mailbox before our postman arrived.

embossed white core Pink card stock, lightly sanded

die cut and stamped pieces
(Stampin' Up!)

sequin accents
