Thanksgiving Cards

Several cards created with an old 

Paper Pumpkin shaker card kit by

Stampin' Up!

I made several different cards with the kit,

using papers from the beautiful Falloween

card stock stack by DCWV on some. 

The top left and bottom right cards in the above photo

are the two shaker cards that were in the predesigned kit.

and I still have pieces to use!

Waterfront Thinking of You Card

My second  attempt at using the Waterfront

stamp set from Stampin' Up!

I really need to sit down with scrap

paper and practice using this set.

Waterfront Card

A new to me set that is going to take some

practice - and looking for lots of inspiration to use!

This is a water color look set from Stampin' Up!

called Waterfront. I had to get it to make a 

birthday card for my Uncle that recently

moved from Alaska to Georgia. 

Inspired by a sample I found online somewhere.

Country Home Milk Can Card

A cousin of mine and her husband are remodeling

an old farmhouse with a modern country theme

so I thought this combination 

of stamps would be perfect for her birthday.

A cousin retired recently and her family had

Beautiful Friendship card

I got a smudge on the card front and decided to hide

it with this piece of ribbon and brad. 

Not sure that I like it though...........

50th Anniversary Card

Well, the patterned paper piece behind the 50 seemed to

match the card better while I was making it in another room

with different lighting. Taking a photo of it in this room

filled with lots of natural light, it looks off. Sigh...

The background has lots of texture from an embossing folder,

 We R Memory Keepers - Next Level 3D Embossing Folder.

I decided to rub metallic "paint" over it,

Craf T Products Rub On Color Kit.

I die cut a paper doily and the number 50

with dies from Stampin' Up!

The rubber stamp and card stocks are

also from SU!

The patterned paper piece is a scrap from

some Christmas cards I made (to be 

shared next month) and is from the 

gorgeous Falloween paper stack by DCWV.

A Little Lace Card

The design of this card is similar to an idea I saw.

I used different colors.

Good Things Grow cards

Wow, the colors in this Paper Pumpkin kit (Good Things Grow)

are weird to me, pretty bright.

It's an oldie I came across second hand and had no idea

of the true colors of the elements until I opened it.

I added a little more color with alcohol markers

or a bit of watercolor to try to mute it somewhat. 

It helped a little. 

I changed the kit layouts, too,

and added stamped greetings from other sets I own.

Bee Thankful card

The Thanks part of the image was colored with 

Stampin' Blends alcohol markers -

only my second time to ever use them.

I need practice and apparently a Color Lifting marker ;)

Wicked Cards

A set of Halloween cards I made using

the Wicked die and stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Eclectic Flowers Card

The background on this card was made by 

soaking up the last leftover alcohol ink 

over spray from when I made this card.

The paper was a scrap of Bristol.

The inks muddled together a bit and 

were faint since most of it had already

been soaked up on the scrap I used for the

card I shared yesterday.

It still made a neat, useful piece.

Time to switch back to working on photographs

and photo albums/scrapbooks as time allows.

when I made this card.

I ran the pieces underneath the detailed top

portions through the Subtle embossing folder.

Poppies Card

for Memorial Day

Americans don’t typically wear poppies on November 11 (Veterans Day), which honors all living veterans. Instead, they wear the symbolic red flower on Memorial Day—the last Monday in May—to commemorate the sacrifice of so many men and women who have given their lives fighting for their country.
