Pinwheel Halloween Card

Not quite sure if that is what this type of fun fold card is called,
but coincidentally I received it in the mail from my long time
"pen pal" the same day the Splitcoaststampers newsletter
had a tutorial for a Stepped Up Pinwheel Card

I just love it!

I did mention in my previous post that
I have 100 or so holiday cards already made,
but I think I might need to make one more
with this fun fold ;)

Shimmery Textured Snowman Card RAK

I received this lovely card
from a long time "pen pal" yesterday !
What a nice surprise on
day six without sunshine.
Not sure when I'll see blue skies again......
Definitely not today.
We are socked in with heavy fog.
Blech.
Snow, rain, plummeting temperatures
on tap over the next few days
so no sign of sun for a while yet.
I need chocolate, ha , ha.

Glittery Stenciled Snowflakes Card

I received this lovely card from a blog friend.
See how she made it here

The photo doesn't do it justice,
it is so shimmery in real life
and the snowflakes have a dimension to them.

Sympathy From A Friend

What a pretty,  shimmery sympathy card that we received from my online "pen pal".
This year has been the worst ever, bad things happening to our family doesn't end.
Last month my husband had to say goodbye to his mom.

On a happier note, I was able to spend some time making cards recently
so I will have a few to share soon.

Thanks for looking =)

Sweet Thank You - Inspiration

I recently sent a couple of cards to a blog buddy and she sent back a simply sweet thank you card.
It inspired the card I am sharing today, above.

All supplies used were from Stampin'Up!
Stamps:
Forever Lovely

Decorative Dot background

Colors:
Groovy Guava
Certainly Celery
Smoky Slate

Groovy Guava stitched ribbon

Textured embossing folder

dimensionals
small scissors for carefully cutting around the stamped flowers

Here is the inspiration card

Thank you, Margaret!

I made several cards over the course of a week recently, the fist time I've made anything in several months. I'll be sharing them soon.

Thanks for looking, have a great day =)

Wishing You A Speedy Recovery - Mustang CARd

I was recently gifted this neat rubber stamp and die set
of a 1966 Mustang fastback and had to immediately ink it up !
I also received this super shiny "chrome" card stock ,
diamond plate embossing folder and sweet card. Fun !
(Thanks so much again, M!)

I've made three cards so far, I'll share them over the next few days.

I tried to make it look like the car was "moving" on this card.
I stamped then drug the image a few times.
I then stamped a grunge line art stamp over that.

The car image was colored with Prismacolors
that I added crystal effects to the glass areas to.
I cut chipboard to back the car to pop it up a bit.

I sponged a bit of ink around the car for sky and ground.

The flag was fun to make, using part of a
Stampin' Around wheel from Stampin' Up.
I trimmed and glued it to a toothpick
that had been cut down then painted silver.
I gave it some more dimension by slightly bending it.

The sentiment is handwritten
(out of printer ink at the moment)
and the banners are hand cut.

Supplies:
White, teal, black and chrome card stocks
Black,  gray and light blue inks
Gorgeous Grunge, Stampin' Up! 2013
Easy Check Border wheel Stampin' Up!, 1999?
Darice Diamond Plate embossing folder
1/4"circle punch for faux brad
toothpick

I'm entering my card in the current

Thanks for looking,
have a great day =)

The tag on this one is made from wood !
The word Merry is cut out with decorative paper
layered behind it.
So country cute!

This is a photograph that my friend
took then had printed and sent to me as a card.
The view is Mt Hood from Rocky Butte in Portland.
Pretty !

What a fun vintage image on this CAS card !

I love this card !!!!!!
Sure was a nice surprise in the mail
after the week (month!) I've been having.
It was made by my long time "pen pal".
Isn't the detail on the embossing folder amazing ?
And what a fun use of the designer papers.
