I was recently gifted this neat rubber stamp and die set
of a 1966 Mustang fastback and had to immediately ink it up !
I also received this super shiny "chrome" card stock ,
diamond plate embossing folder and sweet card. Fun !
(Thanks so much again, M!)
I've made three cards so far, I'll share them over the next few days.
I tried to make it look like the car was "moving" on this card.
I stamped then drug the image a few times.
I then stamped a grunge line art stamp over that.
I then stamped a grunge line art stamp over that.
The car image was colored with Prismacolors
that I added crystal effects to the glass areas to.
I cut chipboard to back the car to pop it up a bit.
I sponged a bit of ink around the car for sky and ground.
The flag was fun to make, using part of a
Stampin' Around wheel from Stampin' Up.
I trimmed and glued it to a toothpick
that had been cut down then painted silver.
I gave it some more dimension by slightly bending it.

The sentiment is handwritten
(out of printer ink at the moment)
and the banners are hand cut.

What a fabulous card for a petrolhead. I like the way that you've created a sense of movement with the drag lines. The popped up 3D flag is a great touch. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber this week.
ReplyDeleteThis card is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with it and how you made it look like it’s moving fast
Can’t wait to see what else you made with it
Hugs
This is awesome...you had me at the Mustang!!! My mom had a Mustang and I wish I still had it....although it didn't have power steering or brakes, so it wasn't the easiest to drive, LOL! Nice card, especially for a guy! They're always a challenge! Thanks for playing with Retro Rubber this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to create movement in your image! Fun flag too! I have the diamond plate embossing folder and it is perfect for the masculine touch for this card. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber for AG!
