Autumn Garden Digi Kit

I'm excited to announce that Jodi from JMC Designs has started designing
digital scrapbook kits again and asked me to be a part of her creative team once more!

Today I'm sharing her most recent kit at Plain Digital Wrapper,
Autumn Garden. It will be on sale for $1.00 per pack through October 3, 2018
then the entire kit will be available for $3.99 afterwards.

The Autumnn Splendor page I created with it is loosely based on the September template challenge
at Plain Digital Wrapper. Becuase I used a template for this page, it was created with Photoshop Elements rather than My Memories Suite. Layered psd emplates don't work in My Memories.

The Morels page is a large photo blended into one of the neat painted wood background papers. I made my own alpha using Blackoak text, color coordinating it to the green in the kit then adding bevels and and a drop shadow in Photoshop Elements. There is NOT an alpha in this digi kit.

I also made a fun printable card front and facebook timeline cover.

Impossible Fold Card - White Christmas

Today's card is my first attempt at an
"Impossible Card" fold
and is my design team project for the week

The center image (sentiment)
is called White Christmas and
was supplied by this weeks sponsor

Prize:  A Touch of Class kit

Our challenge is an anything crafty goes
challenge that lasts for the week.
Share with us what you've been working on
for a chance to win !

Thanks for looking =)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

PROJECT DETAILS:

This is for a 5" x 7" card.

You can alter it to make other sizes

Grasp the left side of the card in your hand
and carefully bend the right side along the center score line.
The bottom portion will
bend backwards and the top portion will
come forwards along the score.
It's an "Ah ha!" moment once you do it!

The side pieces are decorated with
additional layers of card stock
that are trimmed a bit smaller to fit.

Once the side panels are added,
you will want to adhere a strip of
card stock across the gap of the two
bottom panels to help hold it in place.

Decorate as you wish.

Push the center panel down for mailing

Fairy Jar Lanterns - group 3

I'm finally getting around to sharing the fairy jars / lanterns I made last month! These are the final three of nine that I made. I think they'll be donated to a local charity resale shop.

Reusing candle jars, covered with wrinkled tissue paper and Mod Podge.
I added felt to the bottoms of them on the outside to protect surfaces they sit on.
Various goodies from my craft supply stash to embellish them. Some could be customized (the purple on has a blank tag for a name or special word).
Battery operated tea light candles - DO NOT USE REAL CANDLES !

This is something that I've not seen in quite some time:
a walking stick !

Fairy Jar Lanterns - group 1

I'm finally getting around to sharing the fairy jars / lanterns I made last month. There are 6 more to share, divided up in the next two days posts.

Reusing candle jars and a pickle jar, covered with wrinkled tissue paper and Mod Podge.
I added felt to the bottoms of them on the outside to protect surfaces they sit on.
Various goodies from my craft supply stash to embellish them, including old book pages.
Battery operated tea light candles - DO NOT USE REAL CANDLES !

Because I am repurposing several items on these jars, I am entering (the top one using the book pages) into the current challenge at Shopping Our Stash - Upcycle

Thanks for looking =)

I'm not sure what this flowering plant is,
but the butterflies are loving it !
There are nine of them in this photo.

EDITED TO ADD 9/24/2018
https://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2018/09/saturday-shoutout_22.html

I entered a couple of items in the challenge - and the fairy jar made with old book pages was a Top 3 Pick ! Thanks, ladies !

Cross Stitch Ornaments

Earlier this year we went to a church fundraiser yard sale.
I bought a grab bag of various crafty items,
most of which I could not use so I donated them.
However, there were some things I could work with.
These little cross stitch pieces were unfinished,
part of a mini treat bag kit.
I decided to turn them into ornaments instead of
finishing off the mini treat bags.

I cut some quick stik mounting board to fit the images.

I ran heavy duty double stick tape around the edges of the back,
pulling the fabric around and adhering in place.
I added little dabs of hot glue to the corners to hold them well.

A little trim was hot glued in place, gold cord hangers
then white chipboard cut to fit and glued over it all
to finish it off.

I'm entering my project in the current
Animals challenge at Use Your Stuff
since there is a bear on one:)

Thanks for looking.
