Halloween Hedgies Card

Halloween Hedgehogs stamp set from Stampin' Up!
stamped onto watercolor paper then
die cut with the frames die set from Stampin' Up!

I colored the image with ink from Stampin' Up! classic ink pads
and an aquapainter. I just can't seem to part with the money-
or come up with the space to store - for Copic markers despite
seeing the gorgeous colored images they make.

The edges were covered with Crystal Effects then copper
glitter was sprinkled onto them.

Popped up with dimensionals over two strips of decorative paper
from a Fall Paper Stack that were attached with
orange eyelets at each end.

Ghosts Acetate Card

I was pretty pleased with this mail friendly card
(although I forgot to add string to the ends of the
sign and run it up to the ghosts hands, geesh !
I really was in a "funk" while trying to craft last week)

I hand drew the ghost shapes onto Whisper White card stock,
one slightly larger than the other.

I barely sponged on Going Gray ink onto some of the edges.

Their faces were stamped with Basic Black ink
and the old Fun Faces stamp set from Stampin' Up!

The Trick or Treat came from the set of the same name
(at least I think that was the name of it.............).

The papers are scraps from a huge Fall Paper Stack and
were punched with various paper punches from Stampin' Up!

I adhered the ghosts to the acetate with double stick tape.
There is another one cut and glued on the inside of the card
to the backside of the ghost from the front to hide the tape.

Painted Wood/Grapevine Witch Wreath

I need to do a better job of removing those hot glue strings......
I noticed that I missed painting an outer edge of the witches hat !

Yet another one of those projects that has been in my craft dungeon for years and years................. Not exactly sure why I decided to go ahead and paint it now that I don't really decorate for the holiday any more. Well, I did need to try to work on something to get my mind off of stuff I've been wrestling with the past couple of weeks. It didn't help one bit, but I did get a long neglected project completed. Only well over a thousand more to do, ha ha.

Anyway, because it was Halloween themed and not a card I am entering it into the Anything But A Card Challenge 4, something with a Fall or Halloween theme or simply use fall colors- golds, rust, reds, browns, deep green, etc.
I'm also entering it at the Anythingbutacard.com Challenge #4.

A little bit more about the project:

The wreath was pre assembled with cut out printed wood pieces . All I had to do was to paint them, following the guidelines. I decided to sand them to try to lighten the lines, the paint wasn't going to cover them to my liking. Some are still visible though. I really did not like the facial features that were printed on them so I sanded them off as much as was possible then gave the faces a couple of coats of paint. I simply dotted on black eyes and brushed on some blush for the cheeks.

I used some old basic craft acrylic paints to paint with. A toothpick and cotton swap came in handy for tiny dots.

I carefully pried the hand off of the center witch then made a broomstick from a dowel rod and raffia, hot glued it in place then hot glued the hand over it. I also added a little bit of moss at the bottoms of the pumpkins, those little details (and the hair made from colored raffia that I cut and glued on) added to the project.

I still have a box full of these types of items, but all the rest are Christmas themed. I bought them years ago , working on them to donate to the elementary school holiday bazaar. I didn't get them all completed before my kids moved on from that school and I was not involved with the bazaar any longer (I miss those days !).

Halloween Card I Received

Isn't this card adorable ? And check out the fringy ribbon !
This little cutie has been sitting on my work table
for the past couple of weeks =)
She's about the only Halloween decor I have out this year.

A long time email pal made this and sent it to me
(THANKS, MARGY !)
I don't know the manufacturers of any of the items used, sorry.

Sorry I'm Late......

I hope your birthday was great !

Colorful, fairly quick card I made recently.
I worked on some card projects
last week, trying to get out of this "blue"
mood that set in.
Although I got the card finished in time,
I didn't get it mailed in time !
The others went out in enough time
that they can be displayed for a week or so before
Halloween since they were all
fun cards for the holiday.
I'm not a big fan of the holiday personally,
I hate all things scary, gory and gross.
I do enjoy cute images and decor though.
I'll be sharing the cards I made over the next few days.

All images, papers and inks were from Stampin' Up!
The yellow rhinestones were another of the
dollar bin Halloween "tattoos" that I bought
several years ago and I cut up.
You can easily color clear rhinestones with permanent markers though.

Have A Ball.....

Quick card I made for a nephew. I used old card stock from Lasting Impressions (I think) that is almost the exact color of Soft Suede from Stampin' Up!  The base has a subtle checkerboard pattern printed on it. I stamped Whisper White card stock with the Suede ink from Stampin' Up! and an old retired alphabet, Alphabet Attitude. I lightly rubbed the edges of the card stock with the ink pad. I stamped footballs from the Have A Ball stamp set from Stampin' Up!, one of them was cut out and popped up on a dimensional. It really was a quick card to make.

I meant to fold up the $20 dollar bill into a "football" and adhere it going over a goal post I drew inside the card - totally didn't do it since I didn't have the money until on the way to the birthday dinner. Then as soon as I got it from the ATM, I put it in the card and sealed the envelope.  I was not thinking at all !!!!!!! I could have done it at their house.......... oh well. Little things like aren't always appreciated by young kids anyway.

I'm an Artist Pick at HSS =)

I'm absolutely tickled "orange" - my Two Cute Bats Halloween Display was chosen as an Artist Pick at hand Stamped Sentiments today !!!!! The challenge was #139 Pumpkins. I wasn't sure if my project was "pumpkin-y" enough, though, but the design team liked it , yippee ! Take a moment to visit their blog and be inspired by all of the fantastic creations that were submitted on top of the gorgeous work the design team does, wow.
