Country Bunny Easter Basket Card

More fun water coloring in old stamp images
from Stampin' Up! , making Easter cards.
I use ink from my ink pads and an aquapainter.

This is actually a two part image:
the basket is stamped first then a seasonal
"basket filler"is stamped on top.
It can be tricky to line up, you'll notice on one
of the cards it isn't aligned as well.
Yes, I have one of those stamp positioner tools,
but I never bother to dig it out (not certain where it is right now
after the craft room move anyway.....).

It's been too long since I've made anything (months!).
The past two days I've spent a little time working on cards,
the first time to make anything in my new craft room
on the upper level of the house.
No more fear of  flood waters getting to my toys now !

I'm trying to adjust to the new
(smaller!) space and table as well as the arrangement
of things. It will take some getting used to after
working in the old craft dungeon basement for years,
knowing where everything was.
On the bright side, I have better natural light and fresh air :)

I'm entering my first card, the one with ribbon on it,

Stained Glass Angel Easter Card

I had fun coloring in the black heat embossed angel image
on this card I made for my Mom. I used inks from my
classic dye ink pads. I squish the lid onto the ink pads,
open them then lift the ink off of the inside of the lids with
an aqua painter and "paint" away.

Supplies used:

Stamp images were from Stampin' Up!
(Stained Glass II and Teeny Tiny Wishes)

Cuttlebug embossing folder, I think it
is called African Batik.

Stickles Diamonds glitter glue was placed in the
small circular indentations from the embossing folder.

Watercolor paper, white, yellow and blue card stocks.

A scrap of vellum for the sentiment.

Angel image is attached with dimensionals/pop dots.

Thanks for looking =)

Stamp images are retired from Stampin' Up!
I colored directly on the rubber with water based
markers to create the multi colored bouquet.

Easter egg eyelet, unknown. It was gifted to me.

Jumbo circle paper punches I'm unsure of the manufacturer.
They too were gifted to me.

Decorative paper is from and old stack by Die Cuts With A View.

Music Notes Birthday Card

A fairly clean and simple card I made for my nephews birthday. He is turning 15 and plays an instrument in his high school band, so this is what I came up with this year. Next year I get to make a birthday card that is new driver / automobile related since he'll be 16  ;)

I used a sheet music embossing folder on a slightly smaller piece of white card stock than the card base to create a textured background.

I found a sheet music image of the "Happy Birthday" song online, cropped and printed it out then mounted it onto black card stock.

The black music note was something from a really old set of black pre-cut images that were in a kids craft set. Remember when doodling on black paper with neon colored gel pens was "cool" ?  I added white gel pen and water colored black highlights then attached it to the card front with a pop dot.

I'm entering this card in the Creative Playground Challenge #2 - Birthday
and the Cardz4Guyz challenge, create your own background.

Thanks for looking =)

Silhouette Challenge

The challenge at
House of Cards for March is
"Silhouette".

My card is pretty simple,
I stamped the image with black Stazon ink
onto white glossy card stock.
I then lightly sponged blue inks over it.

It is layered onto a piece of shimmery white paper
and mounted with pop dots / dimensionals.

I crumpled black paper and tore it to resemble
a mountain, layering it over blue card stock.

Paper piercing and black faux layers created with
wide chisel edged marker finish the card off.

Thanks for looking at my project =)
