Wondrous Wreath Door

Last fall I found this stamp set with matching dies
at a yard sale, lucky me !
I found out afterwards that it was made by
Stampin' Up! and that the word dies were missing.
Oh well, it's still useful.

Although I previously posted fall cards made with this set,
this was the first card that I made with it.
I wanted to try to recreate the look of
the country wreaths I'm seeing all over,
with the big buffalo check bows.
I will say, this was a time consuming card,
requiring nimble fingers and patience.

This is a 5" x 7"card.

These two photos are trying to show
the wee little cotton pods I made.
The flower die from this set was used to cut out brown
card stock that I curled to create the pods. I glued
teeny bits of cotton facial puffs inside of them.

I also used dies from the Wonderful Florals (Early Espresso stems)
and Rose Trellis (Old Olive leaves) die sets by Stampin' Up!

The ribbon is 1/4" black and white gingham by Offray.

My door knob was made with a chocolate
5/16" brad and a little piece of card stock.
A fine line marker was used to draw on the key hole.

The wreath itself was stamped with
Crumb Cake ink for the largest leafy portion.
Baked Brown Sugar was used for the accents.
It's stamped on Whisper White card stock.

The door panels are cut from separate pieces of
Cherry Cobbler card stock. I used a pen to
draw on lines then sponged ink around
the edges to try to create the illusion of
raised door panels. Cherry Cobbler ink
and pen were used.

This was a time consuming card to make,
but my Mom is worth it =)

Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays !

Pine Bow and Buffalo Plaid Cards

I made ten of these cards, with slightly different die cut pine cones.

The background paper is actually gift wrap.

All die cuts and card stocks came from Stampin' Up!

The Rubber stamp image is unknown.

A simple grosgrain ribbon bow is hot glued on
to finish it off.

Thanks for looking
and
Happy Holidays  =)

Buffalo Plaid & Snowflake Cards

Two versions of a similar card.

The background paper is actually giftwrap.

The large white die cut snowflake die
came from Stampin' Up! I added the small
holes at the end with a hand held paper punch.

Bits of craft canvas ribbon, grosgrain ribbons,
bakers twine, a paper punched button,
paper punched pine tree and
heat embossed images finish them off.
I made several of these cards.

Thanks for looking =)

Bermuda Snowflakes

This card was inspired by the little tag kit I found at a yard sale
earlier this year. Just these little kraft tags with white banners,
striped washi tape and twine. I added my own die cut words.

The background was the most time consuming  !
The snowflake images are unknown,
they were a clear set with coordinating dies
that I found at a yard sale. Bold flakes were
stamped with Versamark ink onto white glossy card stock.
I then brayered Bermuda Bay ink over the top.
Smaller snowflakes were stamped with the Bermuda ink
and larger flakes were stamped with either :
- White Craft ink (doesn't dry on glossy unless heat embossed
and didn't really show up well, just a faint flat white)
- White Stazon ink (looked cream colored and
also didn't show up as well as I had hoped)
- Versamark with white embossing powder
(showed up the best, but was soooo messy)

The first card  I made with a white card base,
then I made several with Kraft bases.

Thanks for looking =)

Surprise! A "ladybug" was in my packet of die cut words !

Sympathy Cards

I was in need of more Sympathy cards,
so I created a few last month.
I'm just now getting around to sharing them.
I'll post one a day over the next few days.

These two cards were made with old card kits and
other newer supplies from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for looking .

Merry Framed Vintage Christmas Lightbulbs

Today I am happy to share with you
my final creation as a design team member
for Love To Craft Challenge.
I've been with them since the beginning
and will miss creating projects for them,
but it's been a tough year,
I need to concentrate on personal things.
I have a never ending list,
always lengthening, of things I want to make
so I'll still craft and share as time allows :)

Anyway, we are a month long anything crafty goes challenge.
We ask that you keep your projects family friendly, please.
We'd love to see what you've created this
final month of 2019!

This months project was made with some items
that I found at a church rummage sale I
attended with my Mom this past Spring:
a bag of vintage glass Christmas light bulbs
and a slightly worn wooden multi opening frame.

I disassembled the frame then chalk painted
and lightly sanded it.

I hand painted letters on each light bulb.

I tied on stitched grosgrain ribbon bows.

The bulbs are attached with little screw eyes and wire.

Now to come up with something else to make
with all of those extra vintage light bulbs.....

Thanks for looking, have a great day !
