Everything used on this card

Black n White CAS

Easy enough card to make using a couple of
pre-printed card stock pieces that were meant to be
used for pocket scrapbook pages.
Three black gemstones and black satin ribbon
finish it off nicely.

The inside has a die cut outline rose image.

Thanks for looking =)

Mini Envelopes

I made 50 of these !

I used various patterned papers
and an envelope punch board.
I don't know how I managed to do it,
but despite starting with the same size
pieces of paper and using the punch board,
I ended up with some varying sizes ;)

Card Display

I was accepted to be the card maker for a local boutique!
After much thought, I decided to go ahead and try it.
I know it will NOT be a money maker and
WILL be a lot of work these next six months.
What was I thinking?!?

Since finding out about this potential new endeavor
a couple of weeks ago, I've spent some time working on display ideas

The first is my price sign made from a small shadowbox frame.
I created word art in Photoshop Elements and added a die cut 5.
A piece of striped grosgrain ribbon is hot glued to the back for hanging.

I made this card display piece from an old frame that had broken.
It used to have hooks on it and three openings.
It is actually upside down down now,
the bulkier bottom was the top when it was a hanging piece.
I flipped it to give it a heavier, wider base to stand on.
There is also a scrap of wood screwed into the back for support.

I made some home made chalk paint and put on three coats to
hide the imperfections of the old white frame.

I "stained" white fabric with acrylic craft paint then
stretched it over foam core I cut to fit.

A piece of twine was strung across the opening to
hang two horizontal cards on.

The side piece is a digital "word art" I created in
Photoshop Elements then printed onto card stock.
The words were taken from an image of a t shirt I came
across somewhere online some time ago. I saved the image
so I could type up that saying for a decor piece in my
craft room. Instead, it is perfect for my card display!

I painted a 5x7 frame black and stapled some thin pieces
of metal on the base so it could slide under the card frame.
I was going to use heavy duty glue to adhere it to the
card frame, then decided against it in case I wanted to
change out the saying at some point.

This sits on top of the display with two
baskets for cards on a shelf underneath.
I made dividers for the types of cards
(wedding, baby, birthday, etc) from chipboard.

Click here to see what the white frame looked like
years ago when I redid it for a contest entry.

I've also been busy making cards to add to my "inventory"
so those are set up to be posted this month.
I don't plan on making much of anything new for the
next couple of weeks. I want to see how things go at the
boutique before investing more time and supplies into creating
additional inventory right away. I have 125 cards there now
plus a few other things. I really want to get those 642 photos
put into albums!
