Thankful Die Cuts Card

LOTS of die cuts were layered onto a

Naturals Ivory card stock panel for this card.

The images were stamped with coordinating inks
onto card stocks before being die cut out.

I cut "thankful" twice and glued them
together to make it a bit thicker.

Shiny gold die cut edge under the
main panel, then all attached to a textured
chocolate brown card base.

All items used were from Stampin' Up!
and most are no longer available.

Embellished Leaves Thanksgiving Card

This one started out a bit simpler
and flatter so it would be easy to mail.
Then it evolved to this.
I like the extras that I added,
even if it seems a bit overdone
and is bulkier ;)

Vanilla card stock run through a trees embossing folder
(Sizzix).

Paper punched leaves - from a paint sample card!

Gold heat embossed sentiment
(Holiday Best by Stampin' Up!)and die cut.
I decided to pop it up with dimensionals.

I thought it needed a little something extra, so I added
thin gold thread (embroidery type floss thread, unraveled)
and gold craft sequin accents on the leaves.

Thanks for looking =)

Metallic and Smudges Thanksgiving Card

Homemade background paper on this
fairly simple card.
I smoooshed oxide inks onto an old
plastic scrapbook page sleeve
then smashed the vanilla cardstock
on top. It was an experiment.

I added a few "splatters" of copper metallic ink
by stamping with an Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp.

Gold heat embossed sentiment.

Die cut pieces from shimmery gold
and copper cardstocks.

Dimensionals.

That's all for this card!

Thanks for looking =)

CAS Copper Turkey Card

Are you seeing a theme for my Thanksgiving cards this year?
Most are pretty simple.

This one has a copper heat embossed turkey image.
I did this twice, cutting the lower portion off
and then mounting it over the main turkey image
with dimensionals to pop it up.

I used a "Southwest" corner punch
then ran copper trim through the notches.
This was a popular detail for cards years ago.

This panel is adhered to a copper card stock panel
with thinstrips of chipboard and
double stick tape to create dimension.
It also helps mount it evenly due to the
trim running underneath the stamped panel.

All of this is glued to a matching naturals
off white card stock base.

All supplies used were oldies from Stampin' Up!

Copper Leaves Grateful Card

Another skeleton leaf (leaves!) card.

The leaves on this card were sponge painted with
metallic craft paints by myself. They were originally
dyed a sort of purple color.

I stamped "grateful" with a permanent ink
onto twill tape. I lightly frayed the ends
and added leaf eyelets.

Everything is adhered to a wood grain texture
background with heavy duty double stick tape.

The card stock is Very Vanilla.

Rubber stamp image and wood grain
embossing folder were from Stampin' Up!

Eyelets unknown, they were gifted to me.

Skeleton leaves were bought years ago
on after Christmas clearance from Wal Mart.

Gold Skeleton Leaf Card

This is the first of the Thanksgiving cards
that I made this year and
you can't get much simpler than this for a card!

The base is a handmade paper.
No, I didn't make it myself ;)

I adhered a gold skeleton leaf with
double stick tape.

A hand stamped and hand cut banner
with leaf eyelet detail was adhered
over the top of the leaf, hiding the tape.

I hope that the leaf survives the mail system
to get to the recipient in one piece.
