Rose Wonder Sympathy Card

I needed another sympathy card recently.

All supplies used came from Stampin' Up!,
although most are retired.

Rose Wonder stamp and die set.
I spent some time cutting out pieces
in different colors to back the die cut
flower and stem outlines from the set.
There are no dies to cut backing pieces.

Bashful Blue, Bliss Blue, Pistachio Pudding,
Sage Shadow, Barely Banana card stocks

white embossing powder

flat back pearls

Happy Valentine's Day Card

My final Valentine made with scrappy bits n' leftover pieces
I have been saving to do something with some day!

The cluster of hearts on this piece is actually something
from a really old project that I decided to rip apart.

The letterpress background was made last year,
but came out crooked so I didn't use it.
I saved it and trimmed it down this year,
straightening it up for this card.

There is some glitter, a bit of dry embossing
and a piece of grosgrain ribbon on the cluster

White Heart Love Card

Several more leftover bits were used on this card.
My Valentine's/Love baggie is nearly empty!

Everything used came from Stampin' Up!
over the years, most items are no longer available.

The words are heat embossed in black onto a strip of vellum.

I lightly sponged pale gray ink onto the background behind
the die cut heart in hopes it would make it stand out a bit more.

The background is also pressure embossed with a texture.

The small die cut flowers have been slightly bent
to create a bit more dimension. Rhinestones for the centers.

Thanks for looking =)

Inlaid Hearts Border Valentine Card

This one was fun to make,
piecing the hearts back together.

Thee white background was
pressure embossed with a folder by Cuttlebug.

The pieced border of hearts was made
with a die from Stampin' Up!
I cut it three times:
once on the red tag,
once from black and once from gold.
I saved all of the little heart pieces
to use on some of the other cards I made
this year with leftovers being saved
for future use.

I glued another tag underneath the die cut one
so there was something to glue to pieces to.

I started with the black outlines then
matched up all of the little hearts and
carefully glued them in place,
finishing up with the extra red pieces
around the heart border.
It was a bit time consuming, tricky,
but it looks neat!

Black heat embossed stamped sentiment from

I glued some of the little hearts that were cut out
from the die cut tag on the inside:

Valentine Cluster Card - Friend

This is the first of five Valentine cards I made
new this year. Sure, I have lots of "love" type
cards leftover from the failed craft booth last year,
but I also had a baggie of leftover "love" bits I never used
when making all of those cards.
I wanted to put those "do something with some day"
bits n' pieces to use this year, making one less
baggie of saved scraps ;)

The rubber stamp image is from Hero Arts.

Various dies and punches.

Metallic silver (looks gray), red, black and white card stocks.

Narrow silver trim.

Gearhead Birthday Card

I had fun putting together this card for another one of my uncles

that enjoys old cars.

The die cut chrome gears back ground piece is leftover

from this card I sent the other uncle recently.

I bought the Gearhead Garage set in early 2019

and have it used it quite a bit.

I keep hoping that one day there will be coordinating

images to that set / designer papers.

"happy birthday" is from the Something to Say set

that is a bit older.

Everything, other than the die cut 75,  came from Stampin' Up!

This card just so happens to fit the current challenge at

Retro Rubber Challenge :

#151 Red, Black, White and Gray !

I had a little help from my barn cat
that is becoming quite comfortable indoors :)

Thanks for looking, stay safe and warm.

Five Assorted Cards

This little penguin card was chosen as a
CAS Favorite at Splitcoasstampers !

I created all of these cards using stamped or die cut bits
I've had stored in my "to do something with someday" drawer.
I decided that although I don't really need to have more
completed cards on hand since I have a lot already,
I did want to work on thinning out that drawer ;)

I started with these assorted cards,
then shifted gears to making Valentine type cards.
I had a baggie full of heart die cuts and such
I didn't use up last year and since added to.
Next up, Valentine's cards!

Everything used came from Stampin' Up! over the years.

Wheely Nice Birthday Card

The inside of this card is a bit "cheesy",
but I think the recipient will still like it.
He's a Chevy guy, into hot rods.

The wheel and tire are made from various dies,
custom trimmed and pieced together.
Gears, Starburst, Circles and a paper punch

I cut a teeny, tiny Chevy bow tie by hand
for the center cap.

Stamp Sets:
Nailed It, Gorgeous Gunge and All Around Argyle

Gearhead Garage paper

Everything used was bought from Stampin' Up!
over the years, many things are no longer available.

Inside sentiment was created on my computer and printed out.

I didn't expect to be making much so soon this new year
since I already have a drawer full of completed cards,
but I had a small drawer of bits n' pieces
that I decided I really ought to do something with.
So, this month I'll have a post almost every day
to share all the cards I made recently!

Thanks for looking =)

Blushing Gray First Frost

I just had to make another card with this pretty stamp and die set!
It's called First Frost and is no longer available from Stampin' Up!

The front panel is a scrap of card stock that was in a grab bag
of paper scraps I bought years and years ago. I have no idea of
the manufacturer or color name, but it is a pretty pale off white
with light gray speckles. Cleaning up scraps I came across it, again,
and decided today was the day to put it to use after all of these years.

I'd been inspired by card samples and put this pink/gray combo
for flowers in the back of my mind for something different to try.

I did not put a sentiment on the front so I can
use it for any number of occasions, when it is needed.

All supplies used, other than the pale gray speckled top panel,
came from Stampin' Up! over the years.

 Colors:

Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray
The bottom photo is true to color.
