Stamped Fabric Snowman Multi Use Embellishment

This sweet little fabric scrap snowman was a cinch to make ;)
He can be a pin, a magnet, an ornament, a scrapbook page embellishment,
a gift package tie on, etc and so on !

I used scraps of tea stained "muslin" with a piece of cotton batting
sandwiched between for his head. I hand stitched the three pieces together,
leaving the edge of each layer raw and exposed.

The face was stamped with a permanent brown ink.
I lightly tapped ink onto his cheeks with my finger tip
and used a blender pen with chalk to color in his nose.

A little scrap of plaid cotton fabric was torn then hot glued into place
to create his scarf. You could certainly add more embellishments to him !

Thanks for looking =)

Pretty Poinsettia Card

Today's share is a set of pretty poinsettia cards.
All supplies used were from Stampin' Up!
with the exception of the yellow rhinestones.

The die cut white portion is actually the back of a precut card
that Stampin' Up! sold as part of a kit years ago.
They had an interesting shape to them.
I cut the fronts from the backs on some of them
then glued them back on to a rectangular card base.
I liked this better because the recipient could stand the card up
if they wanted to display it.
See one of the altered cards here

Moving on......

The die cut piece was run through a script embossing folder.
It was then adhered to Cherry Cobbler Coredinations textured card stock.

The rubber stamps are oldies,
Pretty Poinsettia (1999) and Holiday Greetings  .

The poinsettia image was stamped twice
in two shades of red then trimmed out.
I cut the bottom image apart to make it slightly larger than the top
so it would show a bit better.
The top image is attached with a dimensional.
The leaves are all stamped individually in two shades of green
and cut out, too, then glued into place under the red flowers.

I cut a piece of white card stock then stamped the flowers again
as well as a simple greeting on it. Glued it inside the card.

Organdy ribbon and thin gold cord tied into a bow finish it off.

Thanks for looking and
Happy Holidays !

Sweet Gingerbread Christmas Card

Isn't this a sweet Christmas card and sentiment?
I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out, too,
even though I got a bit carried away sanding the paper ;)

I used a Candy Cane embossing folder (cuttlebug)
on white core red card stock then sanded it.
I would have liked to back it with a fine scalloped edge
white rectangle before adhering it to the brown sugar card base,
but I don't have any dies or punches to accomplish the look I envisioned.

The rubber stamp images are oldies from Stampin' Up!
Gingerbread House is 18 years old, the sentiment set is even older
(I don't recall the name, sorry).

The edges of the sentiment panel has caramel ink lightly sponged on it.
It is backed with a piece of textured espresso card stock punched
with a  scallop edge border punch.

I heat embossed white onto Baked Brown Sugar card stock
for the gingerbread boy. A tiny bit of water color accents.

The peppermint was simply stamped with black ink
onto white card stock then colored with a marker.
It is attached with a dimensional/ pop dot.

A paper punched button and twine finish it off.

Thanks for looking
and
Happy Holidays =)

Spirit of the Season Card

While sorting through some old scraps that were bought in a grab bag at a yard sale,
I came across this green card base that had a sentiment stamped on it.
I just happen to have a stamp set that would go pretty well with the sentiment,
so it became a quick Christmas card.

The nativity image was stamped onto water color paper
then water colored in with ink from my ink pads.
It is from an old stamp set by Stampin' Up!

The star was made with a Folk Art star paper punch,
slightly curved, inked along the edges then attached with a pop dot.

Thank you for looking

Happy Holidays !

Sanded Embossed Trees Christmas Card

I'm sharing another pretty simple Christmas card today.

The trees embossed background was made with a folder by Cuttlebug.
I ran white core dark green textured card stock through it.
It was then lightly sanded with fine grit sand paper.

The sentiment was hand colored directly on the rubber
with two colors of water based markers
then stamped on white card stock and die cut.
The stamp and die were from Stampin' Up!

Red eyelets and bakers twine finish it off.

Thanks for looking =)

Quilted Christmas Tree card

These cards were a bit time consuming (aren't most hand made cards though ?).

I stamped the stitched tree image (Stampin' Up!) onto three different patterned papers
from an old Die Cuts With A View Christmas paper stack.

I carefully cut each section apart along the stitched lines.

I then puzzle pieced them back together using three papers per tree.

They were then glued to a die cut circle. The stitching on the circles was created by tracing a circle die with a fine tip marker. This is then glued to a dark brown circle.

The background is created by piecing together three pieces of the same patterned papers I used for the trees. I used a stitching rubber stamp and black ink to make the zig zags along each panel.

I thought about adding a tag with a sentiment, too, but decided against.

Thanks for looking =)
