I started with a
digital image from Lacy Designs, resizing it to just under 4" and printing
it on white card stock. I knew I wanted
it to fit the large scallop circle die I had on hand. I don't have a simple circle
die large enough (4") to cut it out, so I traced a lid and hand cut it
with scissors. I traced and cut out another circle of white card stock for the
back of the piece.
The sentiment was
computer generated (Honey Script font) and printed on the same piece of card
stock.
The image was water
colored with various dye ink pads and an aquapainter brush.
I also added a
little bit of Stickles Diamonds glitter glue.
I die cut a piece of
Orchid Opulence card stock with the large scallop circle die.
The sentiment banner
was hand cut with a paper cutter and scissors.
I used a scoring board and stylus to make score
marks for easier folding.
Edges of the banner
were lightly inked with a sponge that was dabbed onto an ink pad (Orchid
Opulence).
The ends of the
banner are glued at the bottom edge of the circular image piece with a
dimensional adhered in the center to keep it popped up.
The 7/8"
organdy ribbon has double stick tape sandwiched between the ends and attached
to the back of the scallop circle. Another white circle of card stock is glued
over the ends of the ribbon.
The front is
finished off with clear rhinestones. Mine were actually sold as body tattoos at
a dollar store years ago ! I cut them apart with a sharp hobby knife to use on
craft projects.
