Merry Framed Vintage Christmas Lightbulbs

Today I am happy to share with you
my final creation as a design team member
for Love To Craft Challenge.
I've been with them since the beginning
and will miss creating projects for them,
but it's been a tough year,
I need to concentrate on personal things.
I have a never ending list,
always lengthening, of things I want to make
so I'll still craft and share as time allows :)

Anyway, we are a month long anything crafty goes challenge.
We ask that you keep your projects family friendly, please.
We'd love to see what you've created this
final month of 2019!

This months project was made with some items
that I found at a church rummage sale I
attended with my Mom this past Spring:
a bag of vintage glass Christmas light bulbs
and a slightly worn wooden multi opening frame.

I disassembled the frame then chalk painted
and lightly sanded it.

I hand painted letters on each light bulb.

I tied on stitched grosgrain ribbon bows.

The bulbs are attached with little screw eyes and wire.

Now to come up with something else to make
with all of those extra vintage light bulbs.....

Thanks for looking, have a great day !

Paper Pieced Home Card

Using the Holiday Home stamp and die set from Stampin' Up!,
plus circle dies, I created this "patchwork" type card.
Some of the pieces were run through embossing folders.
It was inspired by some samples I saw.

Wondrous Wreath Easel Card

Happy Thanksgiving !

No matter how tough things get,
there is always something to be thankful for.
No truer words can be written about
the year we've had. I am grateful every single
day that as bad as it got at times in 2019,
it was not any worse. Events certainly
could have been much more devastating.

I hope that you have a wonderful day,
blessed with spending time with family or friends
to celebrate what you are thankful for.

Card details:
All supplies used came from Stampin' Up!
and are no longer available.

Fabulous Friend Wreath Card

Last fall I found this stamp set with matching dies
at a yard sale, lucky me !
I found out afterwards that it was made by
Stampin' Up! and that the word dies were missing.
Oh well, it's still useful.

I've had fun playing with it
and have a couple of cards to share.
You need to wait until December to see a
neat (time consuming!) one I made for Christmas.

This card also uses the Banners For You
stamp and die set by Stampin' Up! for the banner.
(also found at that yard sale and missing a couple of pieces)

The neat burlap ribbon/bow was easy to make:
ink your stamp with Crumb Cake ink
then ink up the Canvas background stamp
with Baked Brown Sugar ink. Stamp that
inked Canvas stamp on top of the Crumb Cake
inked bow pieces.
Lastly stamp those "over stamped" bow/ribbon images
onto Very Vanilla card stock and cut out.
I was quite pleased that this idea turned out
so well to make a burlap looking bow.

Just a photo taken at a slightly different angle to try to show
the dimension I created with curled up die cut flowers
and dimensionals under the banner as well as the bow.
The Cajun Craze flowers have little yellow rhinestones in the centers.
The leaves were created by stamping the same flower image
with Old Olive ink then cutting them apart with scissors.

I almost forgot to include details about the background!
I stamped the Hardwood background stamp with
Tip Top Taupe onto Naturals gray card stock (oh so old!).
It is layered onto Early Espresso textured card stock
and a Baked Brown Sugar card base.

It was a bit time consuming, but fun to make
for a long time "pen pal"  online friend.

Fall Fest Thanksgiving

I am having the worst time getting photos of my cards.
Maybe one day I'll make a little "booth" to photograph
them with more consistency rather than rely on
whatever light is coming through the windows.
I doubt it ;)
This card has a  Kraft/Crumb Cake base.
The color in the closeup photo is way off.

The stamp images are from Stampin' Up!
Fall Fest and Holiday Home

The inks and card stocks are also from SU!

Thin twine and burlap ribbon are from
my craft supplies stash.

Die Cut Leaves and Canvas Card

I die cut leaf shapes and an acorn from a Triplits die set,
using card stocks from Stampin' Up!

I added a bit of twine then glued them all on top of a piece of
canvas craft ribbon cut into a banner shape.

The edges of the card base were lightly sponged
with ink before adhering all the pieces.
