One Down...

and oh so many more to go!

This is the first pet scrapbook page done
for one of the five pet scrapbook albums
I have planned.

Not all of the pages are going to be "scrapped",

many will simply be photos slid into pockets
with journal cards.

Rubber stamp images from Technique Tuesday
and an old metal rim tag.
I water colored the image with ink from
an ink pad and an aquapainter.

Paw print from Meow Meow by Stampin' Up!
and another old metal rim tag

Old bubble letters and a numerals stamp set, unknown

Inks and card stocks, Stampin' Up!

Patterned papers, CR Gibson (part of a
bundle I bought at Big Lots years ago).
It's the only cat themed paper I have
and I'm not really a fan of it.
I guess I liked it better when I bought
it way back when ;)

The layout is a simplified version of a Page Maps sketch.

Graduation Cards Galore

My Mom asked me to make some
Graduation cards for her to send
out this year. I needed a few, too.
These are the results of a
marathon card making day
recently.

This is my favorite, simple.

I shouldn't have stamped the left side
or else left the stickers off.

The graduate majored in music,
thus the embossed sheet music background

School colors
plus the orange one has a Zebra
embossed background to represent
tiger stripes (school mascot)

Rubber stamp images and card stocks
were from Stampin' Up!

Sticker pack embellishments

Embossing folders, Cuttlebug and SU!

Numerals dies, SU!

A Mother's Day Like No Other

Like many others,
our family won't be together for this
Mother's Day
due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic.
There is a continuing
Stay At Home order in our state :(
Honestly, we probably wouldn't be together
anyway, we don't want to take
any chances on getting someone sick.

I'll be home alone for the day.
I'll spend it like I do most days,
working on a crafty project.

I'll call my Mom
(as I do nearly every day)
and see if she wants
a quick, socially distanced visit.
Since it is going to be unseasonable chilly today,
I'm going to make home made chicken and dumplings.
I'll take her some for supper
along with a handmade card, of course ;)

Wishing a terrific day to Moms,
in all of the various forms!
Stay safe and well.

Scrapbook Stack

It's National Scrapbook Day !

The past couple of weeks I've been working on this huge project:
 nearly 800 photos organized then
inserted into the sleeves of scrapbook albums!

I have a LONG way to go yet on this project.

The photos need to be attached in place to card stock.
Many of the pages I want to create
a layout and decorate with embellishments.
They also all need to be journaled still.
One step at a time, one day at a time.

I hope you are all doing well wherever you are
in this pandemic. Our state remains under
Stay At Home orders through May.
Face masks are a requirement state wide.
Most businesses and other places are closed,
including the gift shop I had just signed on as a
vendor at to sell my handmade greeting cards.
Many shelves continue to be empty in stores.
I was surprised to see the variety of items
that were sold out the last time I went shopping.
Toilet paper and facial tissues are still impossible
to find. Many food items have been hard to come by, too.
Now there is a run on meat.
Gasoline is currently $1.67 - $1.74 a gallon
in our area.

We have a long road ahead of us to get
things back to somewhat normal,
actually what will be a new normal.
We can't thank all of the essential workers
and first responders
enough for doing all they can to help
keep things running.
Incredibly grateful to all of the healthcare workers
and scientists for their sacrifices while
working on this pandemic, too.

Stay safe, be well.

25th Birthday Step Card

I'm not overly thrilled with the way this card turned out,
I was trying to do something different.

The words stamp image and card stocks came from Stampin' Up!.

The balloon image and die were from Technique Tuesday,

I used numerous die sets, most were from Sizzix.

I didn't want to make a red/black/white/gray card
or one that was automotive themed for the recipient because
I've been making those types of cards for him for years.
I also wanted something different since it was a
25th birthday. I haven't signed it yet, I might make another
one to give him since this one is "eh"to me.

Thanks for looking =)

Face Mask Wearing Bunnies Card

Wishing You All The Wonderful Gifts Of Spring -
and To Stay Safe and Healthy!

I just had to make a card relevant to the times ;)

The bunnies image is an oldie from Stampin' Up!
as is the embossing folder.

I water colored it with inks from classic ink pads
and an aqua painter.

I cut wee paper masks from printer paper.

The ribbon is unknown.

I think I should have doodled a black line
around the image panel then layered it onto
green or pink card stock instead of the black.

I know it seems to be getting more difficult to
remain at home (it's been a month here),
but we must continue.
We are all in this fight together so that we can
be with family and friends again.
Hang in there.

Once again, a big THANK YOU
to all of the healthcare workers
fighting to help all that are ill
and to the scientists searching for a cure.
Also to the many and various
"essential workers" that keep our country
running and stocked.
Stay safe and be well.

One final note,
this will be the last post from me for a while.
It's the last of my cards I made and posts I scheduled
before injuring myself a couple of weeks ago.
I'm unable to stand or walk much
which is keeping me from crafting,
doing much of anything really.
Lots of couch time to keep the injured foot elevated.
 I am sooooooo bored -
and looking forward to be able to move about again.

Take care

Easter Blessings - daffodils

Like so many other families around the world,
we won't be gathering for Easter this year
due to the COVID 19 outbreak.
Our state is under a Stay At Home order
and face masks are recommended
for the general public when out and about.
Schools, businesses, parks and such
remain closed through the end of the
month at the earliest, but I believe
it will be extended in our hard hit state.

It's just another month until
Mother's Day, maybe things
will be getting back to normal
(well, a new normal)
so we can gather then.
Getting back to normal will require
more people to take this seriously
and social distance, etc.
to stop the spread.

THANK YOU
to all of the healthcare workers,
first responders and other
essential workers
that are keeping us safe,
items in our stores,
mail delivered
and the like!!!!!

Stay safe and healthy, friends ❤
Happy Easter !

All supplies used
(except the oval die from Spellbinders)
were from Stampin' Up!,
most of which are now retired.

I used various dies and paper punches
to make this bunny Easter card.

All card stocks, inks, the rubber stamp image
and punches were from Stampin' Up!
