Christmas Digital Scrapbook Pages

Here are a few digital scrapbook pages of old photos (blocked out for privacy) that I put together to share with extended family. I'll add journaling before I share the pages with them.

I was doing a search for a Steampunk themed digital kit for a creative team project I had and one of the hits was a kit by designer Karry Dempsey at pixelscrapper.com.  Come to find out after clicking the link, she has a section on the forum there for her free kits. There are 12 pages of comments and images to her downloads, I just had to look through them all and was wowed by them. The pages above were made with her most recent kit, An Old Fashion Christmas. I used MyMemories Suite 5 software to create the pages. It is easy enough to use outside content in the program.  


I've decided that I prefer digital scrapbooking over traditional scrapbooking (gasp!). 

• It is much quicker (for me personally) .
• It requires no storage space (except on your computer!) .
• You can work on it for a while then save the files, no worries about leaving supplies laying out. 
• It is less wasteful if you make something you aren't quite happy with (or it accidentally gets ruined by a cat walking across your layout as you are working on it for example!) .
• Easy to fix mistakes or change out embellishments and photos by just deleting and adding something else. 
• Printed pages fit in albums so much better without all the bulk (though dimension on pages is nice at times, too..........) . 
• You can buy entire coordinating kits from thousands of designers for just a fraction of the cost traditional paper craft supplies (and tools!) cost. 
• You can find lots of FREE kits online, too, such as at Mymemories.com !
