This was a quick card to make:
-emboss background with an embossing folder
-layer onto slightly larger card base
-stamp and cut out heart image
-add white highlights with a gel pen
-adhere to card
-hot glue on roses made from ribbon
I think I'll make a fancier version of this card
to put back for a wedding card......
All supplies used, other than the roses, were from Stampin' Up!
Love Always stamp set- 2001
Thanks for looking =)
Somehow I missed submitting my card for the last (black and white) challenge at Retro Rubber,
but not this time ! I am going to do it right now - and make certain that the linky works !
I'm entering my card in the current challenge at
Retro Rubber Challenge - Ribbons of Love

Simple and stunning! Love the background embossing and the white gel highlights are subtle but so effective. What a fabulous design and colourway. Thank you for joining us again at Retro Rubber - we missed you last challenge!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!! this is gorgeous, looks like red velvet on the top of a beautiful chocolate Valentine's box.
ReplyDeleteLove the highlights on the word LOVE and the awesome embossing in the background.
Thank you for playing with RETRO RUBBER, hope you play again soon.
XO
This is a beautiful stamp, one I always wished I had gotten! It translates so nicely with the red background and the white highlights, very pretty! The sweet little ribbon and rose embellishment add just the right touch! Thanks for sharing this with us at the AYSI!
