I mentioned last month that I made several scrapbook pages, but never shared them.
Well, they will be showing up daily on my blog for the first couple of weeks this month !
I bought an 8x8 premade scrapbook on clearance at Target quite some time ago.
I never got around to using it until this year (where does the time go? geesh),
spending the first few days of the new year sorting through old photos.
I knew I wanted a photo of each family member, pets included,
enjoying (or not which is the case with two of the pets!) the snow.
I then needed to plan the layouts, knowing that I wanted to embellish the pages more.
I easily spent the first two weeks of the new year on this project alone.
People (my husband!) always ask what do I do since I don't work from home,
assuming I sit around watching TV or playing on the computer all day.
No, not at all. In fact, I don't watch much TV nor do I spend hours
on the computer...... unless I am doing digital scrapbooking, photos or blogging ;)
I make something every single day and those things take time.
Most people don't realize how long it can take to make a card for example,
not to mention the time to clean up afterwards.
Anyway................ enough rambling.
Here are before and after photos of two of the twenty
snow themed scrapbook pages I made last month.
First up, the cover
This is a closeup of the insert I made for the cover.
I was originally going to make a digital project
and print it out. It would have been less time consuming.
I ended up stamping, coloring, adding die cut letters,
layers and glittery accents to the cover piece.
The first and last pages were identical,
with a die cut border at the top.
I flipped them sideways and added
a few extras.
die cut numbers
metallic silver mat with a punched border
hand punched and pierced tag
silver snowflake with brad
I used embossing folders and some ink
plus a scrap of ribbon to make an element for this page.
Thanks for looking, have a great day !
