First time I've used these dies to make a card!
I bought them on clearance at Stampin' Up!
I bought them on clearance at Stampin' Up!
earlier this year. Unfortunately they did not
have the matching stamp set available.
The embossed background was made with a
folder that SU! sold several years ago.
The tiny scalloped and stitched die cut edge is made
with a die from a Valentine's set by SU! .
Glitter paper and shiny silver card stock were used for the
center star. I was going to add a rhinestone brad,
but decided against it so it would be flatter, mail friendly

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card. Glad you were able to use the dies without the focus of the stamp set. Sometimes you just have to buy them when they're on sale and hope that you stumble into the stamp set one day. I love how you've made this card using "all " your retired stuff. The little scalloped edge on the sides of the card are priceless and really help to accent that lovely embossed oval. Thanks for sharing.
