This is a spinner card, the Earth rotates around the sun.
It was made for a 30th birthday,
inspired by the words on the party invite of
celebrating 30 rotations around the sun.
Below: pictures of the home made "galaxy" paper -
my second attempt!
The first try was used for a holiday card
that I'll share in December.
Below are a couple of photos
from the first background in progress
and a very basic how-to.
I randomly water colored assorted ink colors
onto watercolor paper, being careful not to overlap.
I used dye refills, Stampin' Up! brand, and an aquapainter.
I then brushed on Night of Navy ink refill,
watered down a bit.
It dried a lot lighter than when I first applied the
Night of Navy ink, so I added a little more.
I splattered white craft paint onto
it using an old toothbrush once it
was completely dry
(not shown in this photo).
It was very messy and didn't turn out
quite as I had hoped. It was my first try,
so maybe if I make a few more
(or use different supplies) they'll be better.
Thanks for looking =)
These are super cool!!!!
