Snow Much Fun Album PGS 14 15

Simple premade scrapbook pages, above

The same pages, below , after I added photos

There was a strip of silver removed from one of the other
pages that I paper punched snowflakes out of  for use on other pages.
There was also just enough to die cut the letters for this page.

I added silver brads to the snowflakes on these pages.

Thanks for looking, have a great day =)

Snow Much Fun Album PGS 6 7

Premade scrapbook album pages before, above

The same pages after I added my own touches.

Some of the elements on some of the pages
were fairly easy to remove, such as the silver
strips of card stock on this page.

I removed them then ran them through an embossing folder.

They were then glued back on along with strips of printed
twill tape ribbon.

Additional elements were made with die cuts,
embossed pieces, rubber stamping and
two part epoxy/metal brads that I
inserted rubber stamped pieces in.
Unfortunately the epoxy cover changed the color
of the ink so it doesn't match the other stamped pieces :(

I'm entering my pages in the current challenges at

Groundhog Day 2019

I'll say that my little groundhog saw his shadow this morning -
before the fog rolled in !

It looked like it was going to be a pretty morning,
but not a half hour after taking the photos above,
we are seeing thick fog.
I imagine the warmer air that has moved in
over the frozen river has something to do with that !

We are going to see around a 70 degree temperature swing:
-6 real temp ( with -28 below wind chills) on Wednesday
to quite possibly 70 degrees tomorrow !
I know, that is nothing compared to many parts of the country.

Yesterday it was 46 and sunny the entire day,
first time in what feels like two months!
It was such a nice day after what we've been experiencing,
I opened a window in my craft room partially in the afternoon.

By the way, the snow in the one photo
is leftover from our January 12th snowstorm !
Some areas of the yard still have snow in them.

Enjoy this taste of spring everyone  :)

Groundhog Day is a popular tradition celebrated in Canada and the United States on February 2. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerging from its burrow on this day sees a shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will persist for six more weeks, and if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early. While the tradition remains popular in modern times, studies have found no consistent correlation between a groundhog seeing its shadow or not and the subsequent arrival time of spring-like weather.

Snow Much Fun Scrapbook

I mentioned last month that I made several scrapbook pages, but never shared them.
Well, they will be showing up daily on my blog for the first couple of weeks this month !

I bought an  8x8 premade scrapbook on clearance at Target quite some time ago.
I never got around to using it until this year (where does the time go? geesh),
spending the first few days of the new year sorting through old photos.

I knew I wanted a photo of each family member, pets included,
enjoying (or not which is the case with two of the pets!) the snow.
I then needed to plan the layouts, knowing that I wanted to embellish the pages more.
I easily spent the first two weeks of the new year on this project alone.

People (my husband!) always ask what do I do since I don't work from home,
assuming I sit around watching TV or playing on the computer all day.
No, not at all. In fact, I don't watch much TV nor do I spend hours
on the computer...... unless I am doing digital scrapbooking, photos or blogging ;)
I make something every single day and those things take time.
Most people don't realize how long it can take to make a card for example,
not to mention the time to clean up afterwards.

Anyway................ enough rambling.
Here are before and after photos of two of the twenty
snow themed scrapbook pages I made last month.

First up, the cover

This is a closeup of the insert I made for the cover.
I was originally going to make a digital project
and print it out. It would have been less time consuming.
I ended up stamping, coloring, adding die cut letters,
layers and glittery accents to the cover piece.

The first and last pages were identical,
with a die cut border at the top.
I flipped them sideways and added
a few extras.

 die cut numbers
metallic silver mat with a punched border
hand punched and pierced tag
silver snowflake with brad

I used embossing folders and some ink
plus a scrap of ribbon to make an element for this page.

Simple Lovebirds Scrapbook Page

Can you believe the first month of 2019 is gone ?!??
I hope that if you made resolutions, you've been able to stick to them.
Maybe if you are like me hoping to get more projects completed,
you were able to make a good dent in that crafty to-do list.
I managed to get a little chip in mine ;)

Today I'm sharing the above simple scrapbook page as my
design team project for
We are a monthly anything crafty goes challenge
(so long as it is family friendly).
We'd love to see what you are crafting this month !

This is an 8" x 8" page.
I cut several 2" x 2" squares of different papers
to create the piece behind the photo.
A simple chipboard and ribbon embellishment finish it off.
I thought about stitching around each of the squares,
but in the end decided against it.
Less is more for this page and the couple I'll give it to.

Thanks for looking, have a great day !
